Colt Canyon, the upcoming indie roguelike Western, saw a new video released today. The first in “Feature Video” describes what players ought to expect from the experience.
The game promises both a satisfying solo and co-op experience that takes the familiar tropes of the Western genre, but brings them to life in a game style that is typically reserved for more standard medieval fantasy outings, or other more experimental endeavors.
Players will have to invest time into some preparation, however. As the spirit of the genre is more than just skin deep, players will be expected to keep track of ammo both before and during combat, as reloading takes some time.
Colt Canyon still aims to deliver much of what the roguelike genre is known for, permadeath and all. The game has no set release date yet, but can be wishlisted on Steam for the moment.
