Fresh out of Poland, Liberated is making its way to the Nintendo Switch next year, for what is undoubtedly a great fit for this kind of game.
As you can see from the latest trailer, Liberated tells an “engaging comic book story with compelling player-led choices” with a style that mixes gameplay with digital comics. The story is your standard “near-future, tech-noir society, slipping into the throes of authoritarianism” and has all the flavors of V for Vendetta, Sin City, and a bunch of other classics I’m drawing a blank on right now; caffeine is failing to liberate my memory right now.
Rightfully so, Liberated was widely celebrated after its reveal, stirring up enough attention to grab some awards leading up to its release.
